Our Story: The Beginnings of Gap Medical Clinic

Gap Medical Clinic officially opened its doors on December 1, 2011, born from a deep-rooted desire to offer a better healthcare experience in our small town. Noticing that many people were using the emergency room for non-emergency needs due to a lack of accessible and attentive primary care, our founder and then ER doctor, Dr. Thomas Britt, saw a pressing need for change. He envisioned a place where patients could receive comprehensive, personalized care without the rushed, impersonal atmosphere often found in traditional settings.

Starting modestly, he rented a single room in a building. From these humble beginnings, the clinic quickly gained a reputation for genuine, compassionate care. Patients were struck by the rare level of interaction and attention they received, sparking a wave of word-of-mouth recommendations that fueled the clinic's growth.

Driven by a love for people and a commitment to excellent care, Gap Medical Clinic continued to expand. The clinic eventually moved into the unique, standalone building that we are in today—a welcoming healthcare haven. This charming environment reflects our dedication to creating a homey, comforting space for all who walk through our doors.
